nPETS members participated in a meeting to explore synergies with the LEON-T EU project (Low particle Emissions and lOw Noise Tyres,, that aims to contribute to measures that are effective and widely accepted by investigating both particulate and noise emissions from tyres, and to define and propose practical standardised methods for both lab and road testing of tyre abrasion rate (mostly larger particles) and airborne particulate emissions..

After the presentation of both projects, the projects’ partners explored the possible synergies between nPETS and LEON-T. Most of the common interests were found to be related with the microparticles as expected. A dedicated group with experts of each project will continue to explore interactions and synergies.
